I am seeking a roadworthy gig bag / soft case for my JM. Ideally, comparable to the Reunion Blues Aero cases (everything I need, nothing I don’t) that I use for my Strat and Tele. Does such a thing exist? Suggestions? Thanks!

I use a PRS SE gig bag - albeit an older one - to carry my Jazzmaster sometimes. It's a snug fit but it works. It doesn't have semi-rigid sides or a neck retention strap like the RB Aero but it also cost a lot less. Usually I use a Crossrock case, which is a hard case but smaller and more protective than the G&G case my JM came with.

I use a stock Fender gigbag that came with my 2008 Thinline Tele for my Jazzmaster. Most Fender gigbags can’t fit a Jazzmaster, but this one does.

I use Mono sleeve for my Jazzmaster. I never flied with it but it survived a lot of drunk gigs and night street parties and also escape from war.
It fits, but you should be careful with upper horn not to be scratched by zipper.

Thanks for the replies all. I have been using a Gator Transit bag which just fits and I have to be ever-vigilant about the zipper with this one, per Samurai’s warning. Add the bag’s somewhat flimsy “skeleton,” I doubt the peghead/machines would fare well in a head-first drop from back hatch height or the crush of a panic-stop load shift (don’t ask how I know about those). The Transit has served well as functional, mid-weight protection for trips to jam sessions and such but it’s on the nnnnnnnnIdunno side of my comfort level for a guitar riding in back with the rest of the gear for a couple hundred miles between gigs. Thus my quest for a more substantial bag. I happened upon a YT “torture test” of a Gator Icon and a JM. Looks like the bag fit the JM well enough, but at 9.5 lbs empty and given other options, same as my hard cases, it’s just too heavy for this tired, grumpy old man to lug around. YMMV

For your consideration, Road Runner RR5TEG Highway Premium Electric Guitar Gig Bag at Musician's Friend. The RR5TEG weighs 8.5 lbs and, at $119.99 USD, costs less than half of a Gator Icon. It has a hook & loop attached pad across the inside bottom of the bag to provide extra cushion for strats & teles, but it removes easily, and, voila! It easily fits a Jazzmaster / Jaguar and is more ridged and sturdier than my other offset guitar gig bags (i.e., Fender FE610 ($58.98 USD and Gator Cases Gig Bag for Jazzmaster ($39.99), of these two I would recommend the FE610.)

Just a FYI - these Road Runner RR5TEG Highway Premium Electric Guitar Gig Bags are on sale at Guitar Center (parent of MF) for $89.99, and they appear on stupid deal of the day periodically. Black here - https://www.guitarcenter.com/Road-Runner/Highway-Premium-Electric-Guitar-Gig-Bag-Black-1500000330735.gc?cntry=us&source=4SOS0DRBA - they also have a brown one.
I have a lot of guitars and keep a bunch of gig bags around for schlepping to local/regional gigs. I use these World Tour 20mm bags a lot
Regular 20mm electric guitar bag - https://www.americanmusical.com/world-tour-deluxe-20mm-electric-guitar-gig-bag/p/WOR-EG20D-LIST - this one fits my offsets - Jazzmaster/Jaguar and other similarly shaped guitars - but is a snug fit.
335-style 20mm electric guitar bag - https://www.americanmusical.com/world-tour-deluxe-es335-electric-guitar-gig-bag/p/WOR-ESAG20DN-LIST - these are a bit of a loose fit for an offset.
Double 20mm electric guitar bag - https://www.americanmusical.com/world-tour-edx22n-deluxe-pro-double-electric-guitar-gig-bag/p/WOR-EDX22N-LIST - a double version of the standard electric guitar bag.
I see amazon now also has these. These are not fancy bags, but they have done the job for me at $30 for the single bags and $50 for the double. The outer material is quite stiff and the padding is not what I'd call 'plush', but quite heavy duty. They will not stand a top or bottom crushing impact like a road case or even a good hard case, but I don't know any gig bags that will handle that. So I would not use these, or any gig bag, in a situation where I was not in control of the guitars and road manglers were tossing them around in a truck or large van. But otherwise, they've been fine. Lots better than anything else I've seen even close to the price range. I've had significantly more expensive bags that were not as good.
