Interesting. It definitely had a Western flavor, even if it was western Jupiter. Smile

When Surf Guitar is outlawed only outlaws will play Surf Guitar.

Definitely had me thinking of an outer space train robbery as I was putting it together. Clint Eastwood sample sealed the deal.

I guess that outer space train robberies will become common, in the future. Smile

Very nice ideas in this track! Simple and nice melodies, and some cool "surprising" changes that make it interesting. I really like the different sound, it gives the track a more modern character that makes it unique and I think it suits the melodies very well. The drums sound a little bit over-compressed to me, maybe you could try de-compress or add some more reverb to wash them away. Great stuff overall!! Also great idea for ending!

Funny enough this was an old one I had written when I was ab 16 but never fully fleshed out. Happy you guys enjoyed it

I also listened to your other songs on sound cloud, it is almost one song per day(!!!). Is this also older stuff you recorded now? There are some really nice ideas there, it would be nice to hear these played with a band.

When I was younger I was in a surf punk band then after it disbanded I put the guitar down for a while and have been on and off with it not really ever being satisfied with my playing but recently I’ve just buckled down and thrown my self back in and I have a newfound apreciation for the genre once again. Some of the songs have ideas from older works I made but never recorded but mostly original ideas at this point this one I had to reach into the brain for. Working on the band situation have been jamming with my older drummer just have no back line of rhythm or bass right now.

Reading this I felt like I was reading my story. I also used to play in a surf/garage/punk band (check signature), then we split and I stopped playing for some years. This last year I have been playing again and lately I started jamming again with my old drummer, but we lack a bass player. We have a lot of unrecorded stuff I am thinking to dig up and record... and also some new ideas. Quite similar right? Big Grin Keep up the good work!

Honestly that’s why I came back on the forum with it being such an obscure genre it’s hard to quality check a lot of this stuff to friends as they don’t know exactly what their supposed to be listening to. I started the year out by getting myself a fender vaporizer and now I’m about to modify my jazzmaster a little bit to give myself a project.

Cool stuff!
