Well, that was too subtle. I re-did it with clear nailpolish, ultra-fine gold glitter, and assorted color sparkle glitter. I posted the revised re-work below and removed the photo of the previous version. Clear nail polish goes on first with ultrafile glitter mixed in. After it dries, then more nail polish and multicolor sparkle glitter shaken on top. After that dries more coats of clear nail polish, with time to dry between coats. About half a bottle of clear nail polish is enough. —Insanitizers! http://www.insanitizers.com Last edited: Nov 22, 2022 13:23:25 |

Ok then! Game on! Sally Hanson 'Hard ad Nails' product line is the best for durability. The efforts certainly catch fish! Last edited: Nov 19, 2022 07:08:36 |

I am not aware of others using nail polish with glitter on guitars. I applied nail polish to nails on my right hand to withstand the stresses of fingerstyle picking. I tried several brands but did not notice any variation in durability. This doesn't mean there were no differences. What brands of clear nail polish have you compared with Sally Hanson, and how did you test them? —Insanitizers! http://www.insanitizers.com |

Wife The Artist suggested the glitter border be made straight. A little black paint and it is straight and better looking. Insanitizers! http://www.insanitizers.com |

Eventually it was clear that the entire pickguard should be coated with glitter and clear nailpolish. I used so much nailpolish that the pickguard surface is slick, and finished it last week. One photo is outdoors and the other indoors with window light. Insanitizers! http://www.insanitizers.com |

Yo T, look what I got! Swapped the 9s out for 12s last night, smoothed the fret ends a little, and adjusted the bone nut and it rocks. Damn I love me a Jaguar. I noticed my tort even has a mark similar to the one on yours. See those light spots straight up from the volume knob? Like a dash with a dot next to it? Weird, huh? I built this for someone last year but then they wigged out and never paid me so I sold it as I was broke. I would have liked to keep it. A fellow forum member in Quebec painted the body for me. I did the neck and assembled it all. All premium parts.
