Hi there! The Eerie have just released our second EP. We thought folks on here might be interested to check it out. Behold - Psychlops!
https://theeerie.bandcamp.com/album/psychlops
We're a 3 piece: guitar, bass and drums. We formed at the end of 2021 and released our first EP in spring 2022.
Our sound mixes the tones and motifs of classic instrumental surf rock with odd meters reminiscent of math rock and Balkan folk. Saying that, we do also play more 'pure' surf rock numbers too, such as the tune Coubanakan featured as the last track of our EP. This tune is loosely inspired by the Cuban tune of the same name by Ernesto Lecuona.
If you like our stuff, any sharing or support would be greatly appreciated. In any case, we'd love to hear what the surf community thinks We'd also love to link up with any UK based surf musicians or fans and share opportunities!
If you're in or near London, we have a few gigs coming up very soon:
We're playing New Cross Inn on 1 March https://www.facebook.com/events/513572904280876
We're supporting Seas Of Mirth at the Post Bar on 4 March https://www.facebook.com/events/551380933627125
We're also playing at Worthing Surf Music Festival 2023 on 7 May https://www.facebook.com/events/944396793392354
