I've been wondering for quite some time what the gauge of Mr. Dale's picks are, they always say heavy but never the specific thickness, if anyone knows let me know here or by private message, thanks. Here I attach a photo of what their picks were like

Hard to tell from the pic, but if you know anyone with calipers, you would get a really accurate reading.

Back in the old days, you could get thin, medium, and heavy.
Then came thin, medium, heavy and extra thick
Thin: .44 millimeters
Medium: From .45 to .69 millimeters
Heavy: From .85 to 1.20 millimeters
Thick: 1.5 millimeters or more

I have heard Dick talk about this before. He played very thick picks, I am guessing somewhere around 1.5 millimeters. Personally, I use Dunlop extra grip 1.5 picks, .16-.60 gauge strings on my Strat. Yes, it does make a difference!
