Hello,
I recently had my local guitar repair shop instal a set of Fender PV Jazzmaster pickups in my awesome Squier Affinity Jazzmaster. I initially noticed that both p/u’s are basically the same height. I tried raising the bridge p/u but it won’t go up any further.
It sounds pretty swell, except the bridge p/u is noticeably quieter than the neck p/u.
Does anyone have the Fender factory spec number for JM p/u heights? I know it’s best to adjust using your ear, but I’d like to at least start off with the traditional height setting and adjust to taste.

I don't know about the factory spec's for height but I can tell you that the pickups use compressed foam chunks under them to provide upward pressure and you may have reached the point of zero compression with the bridge pickup so placing a shim under the foam would get you back in the game and allow you to raise it some more.

just to clarify though, traditionally the bridge p/u is higher than the neck p/u , right? That’s what helps make that trebly chime sound we associate with Jazzmasters ….?

An amazing source of offset guitar info, is a guy named Mike Adams. The name of his YouTube channel is “Puisheen”.
He has a video entitled “How To: Set Pickup Height for Fender Offset Guitars”.
You may glean some information that you’ll find helpful.
