does anyone know what effects are used in the song 'reventlo hayride' by the reventlos?

Paging Matt Quilter....

Hey Carol,
I called Matt, and told him to look for your question.
I know that both of the guitar players have many effects from the 70s 80's 90's and maybe a few new ones. I think Matt may have about 10 Smile
all connected with the solid metal connectors, no shorty cables.

Hopefully he'll answer.

Hi Mom---keep in mind this was recorded over ten years ago, so memory may be fuzzy. As with most Reventlo songs, Greg and I trade lead parts. He plays the first two verses, one clean and one dirty, and I play the last one. I believe the first clean pass was Greg using a p.o.s. Ibanez Les Paul (!) through an old wheezing Roland Space Echo into his long-gone Marshall (!) combo (same setup was used for recording the rhythm line). The distorto verse is an AnalogMan modded Tube Screamer. The tone knob on the guitar was rolled off on the first half, which gives it that honky sound. (This part is a direct rip-off of Paul Burlison's solo on "Train Kept a Rollin" by the Johnny Burnette Trio, where he picked the high and low E strings simultaneously). I played the last verse using just my Telecaster through a Boss compresor into a Jive 10-watt amp with an alnico Jensen 10 (a great little amp). I think I put a little delay with a Boss DM-2 on the part where I switch to the bass pick-up.
This is probably more than you ever wanted to know, but thanks for asking. This also reveals a hallmark Reventlo trait: We steal from anybody.

More reverb, Matt Q.

thanks both jeff and matt Rock

But the Reventlos aren't Surf why are we talking about them here?? Wink
But you know I love you guys Matt,
you rule, don't ever change. Not that Greg would go Trad. anyways.
