I have recently obtained a lovely vintage train case, which will be perfect for carrying our march (which at this point is hats, CDs and stickers) to our gigs. I was in the process of making a little sign with pricing when I got stumped.
How much are people charging for CDs these days? I mean, even numbers are easier to deal with ($10 or $15). But what will folks actually pay? $15 seems totally fair, especially if you don't have to pay shipping. Curious what folks are seeing out there. How are the march tables at all the awesome festivals I'm missing?

The gorillas charge $10 for a CD, $15 for a 45. We do $20 for a shirt, which may be a little higher than the norm, but it hasn't slowed sales down.

Do people still buy CDs? I realize the surf crowd tends towards grey goatees these days, but can someone comment on CD sales vs. vinyl? Just curious.

Cranium, here's an analysis from Tony van Veen, CEO of Disk Makers on CD's.

The new Magnatech album has about 50 pre-orders for the CD since the 17th of July. Pre-orders for vinyl will start soon. Introducing has sold about 70 copies and there is no vinyl for that one. So yes, I presume people still buy CD's.
As for the topic of this thread: so far ppl will only get a Magnatech sticker when they purchase a Magnatech album, CD or LP. There will be T-shirts and posters, both are in the pipeline for now.

They buy them to my surprise! Even I buy them sometimes, having not a single device to play them on)

Most of our Double Crown CDs sell for $12.75 thru our website, but at shows and the SG101 convention, we sell them for $10.00 each. It's easier not to deal with lots of $1 bills, but also the discount is justified since we aren't taking the time to package and mail a CD, plus there's the cost of bubble envelopes, tape, and other packaging. So it just makes sense.

Vinyl LP - $20
CDs - $10
T-shirts - $20
Stickers and buttons - $1
this pricing has been working very well for us this year and we have been successful charging $20 entry fee at the couple of shows we've put on.
