Last week I had a chance to try the whole new line of Fender strats and walked away with one of these, as I sold some of my guitars in Ukraine.
I was really impressed by Vintera, but only before taking Pro II. I didn’t play the first Pro, but here as for me they’ve just nailed it with these V-Mod pickups. I also have tried Original and Ultra strats, Ultra surely isn’t my stuff, especially these noiseless pickups. Original is good, but after several rounds of comparison I’ve decided that they do not worth extra € for me and the colors are dull (great choice of pink, gray and white!).
I somehow like these V-mod II pickups much more than 59 vintage both for clean and overdriven and it was a surprise! They are very fat 50 alike, that are my favorite strat pickups ever! Very balanced with both sparkling clean or fullness when you need it and a lot of balls and nice overtones.
Also the default feature of push-push for neck-bridge combination immediately buys me, I’ve got it almost on all strats and use it quite a lot.
These Am Pro II are impeccably made and pretty classic in sound, with a little more grit and versatility and the new colors are so nice (I am mostly a bright colored guitar guy for many years)))
The last drop was that they had this one very guitar in a color I wanted as a B-stock for some hundreds less. This one sounded even better than the new ones I’ve tested, think because of the stickers removed)))
I thought that the American Standard strats with fat 50’s were the top of this line, but now not, these is really a great continuation of the Standard line!

Congrats & enjoy! She's a beauty! I had the Pro II Jazzmaster in miami blue (great color) with the maple neck.
I moved it on as I couldn't vibe with the push-push control - stuck out too high off the pickguard. In hindsight, I probably should have added some washers to the pot underneath the pickguard to maybe get it lower.

I am completely ok with it as my hand never goes that low while playing, I am mostly a guy whose hand rests near volume control.

I bought a American Pro II one year ago in Miami Blue with maple neck. I play ever day and never get tired of it.
Enjoy!!!

It's funny that you post this because I was looking at the very same guitar but with the Evertune bridge installed. No whammy.

NEVER!!! Give me Strat or give me death so help me god!
All my strats are left in Ukraine and some of them I’ve managed to sell. So I decided I may have a new one, with all the love for my Jazzmaster I cannot do without strat!

i love the miami blue color. if i were buying a fender strat today it’d be this guitar.
neck+bridge is the only modification to a strat I ever want. nice to have it already built in.

Agree 100%! I have 3 strats and all have the 7-way mod on each so I can enjoy that gloriously buttery neck & bridge tone.
