Fleetwood Mac "Albatross" - from 1969

The similarities are uncanny! Either it's an amazing coincidence or Mel has some explaining to do. For reference, check the (short) cdbaby clip here. Top

For reference, check the (short) cdbaby clip here. Mel's label specializes in syncronization and somebody asked for "Albatross", so they asked Mel to do a song with the same feel. Didn't get picked up, though. I think I read that on the liner notes to a surf comp, that has Mac doing Albatross on it. the surf connection being that many surf bands cover the Santo and Johnny version. and that is my cue for a bathroom break when a band plays Sleepwalk. — Jeff(bigtikidude) Top
