The Sound Waves put on a good show last night as part of the Burbank City Library "Sounds of Summer" concert series. They were too busy to take a break, and played over an hour and an half of the old traditional surf tunes (my favorite kind). They were very well received by the diverse age group that showed up for this installment of the concert series. Except for Chrome Oxide Steve, who was on hand to record the show, they were not the usual familiar faces we all see at surf concerts here in the LA/Orange county area, showing that instrumental surf is still appreciated!

The SOUND WAVES were terrific. I have been to many concerts, and they never fail to impress me. They are very authentic, and all are great musicians. I loved the jokes, and the interaction with the audience. When they play on Sept. 15th in Huntington Beach - DO NOT MISS IT! Guitar Very Happy

Great show, they nailed them! They captured the "old timers" of Burbank as well as a younger audience and held them thru the whole show. About 200 in attendance. Really nice interplay between the band and the audience. And it's nice to get a history lesson on 60's surf music between songs.
