So, a little review from me)

General idea was to have something compact due to my circumstances, moderately loud for a house, with nice surfy sound and surely the low budget. I wanted to get away from small low watt tube amps that may go under 500 euros but surely do not give the big space and sound, as well from modeling amps (I got one) and surely cannot afford something like Fender Princeton.
I was recommended here to get a Quilter plus cab and this idea was brilliant. This solid state thing sounds like a dream in all three positions, suits my guitar case pocket and easily pushes 1x12 cab to the small gig volume. I want to try it on some gig cause it seems to be a great option for small scenes and to come with only Quilter and SurfyBear compact looks pretty convenient. It has some decent digital reverb, but you should plug in SurfyBear to make it shine. I love 65 most, but 61 and 57 are enjoyable as well, dynamics are very tube like and you also may have some nice and natural breakup even on moderate volumes. 420 euro for a set seems to be ridiculously good price.

Vitaly, sounds great! Are you playing with any surf musicians in your new location yet?

I think of it, but it’s not that easy cause I live in a rural area) I’ve got my former drummer some 200 km from here but it’s surely difficult for some regular rehearsals. Also it turned out that in Germany it’s not so easy, you may find some rehearsal space but should have your own equipment to play. In Kyiv we had a lot of studios just to pay and play only bringing guitars and drum sticks.

Brother, I send our very best wishes for you and your family. hope everyone is able to keep safe.

Back to topic on hand, the tone of your combination sounds great to this 68-year-old 'geezer, who was around when kid s were playing this stuff!

Is your Jazzmaster really "Fiesta Red," or is that just from the camera...looks mighty fine!

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most...

I think the Superblock US is mighty fine. I've been using a C10n I'm a bass cab but am putting together a 12" set up in an old cab with an Eminence 1258. Your setup sounds GREAT,best of luck to you

I always preferred 10 for a home as more focused and tight, 12 as for me is more bassy and a little bit washed away. But after fiddling with tunings I love it really much, especially when you can drive it a little!

I've decided to open my pedalboard and, well, this thing takes pedals really nice! Ecxept for Sonic blue twanger, cause it's also an emulator of Blackface amp and so it sounds like a double Blackface that's apparently too much)

My Quilter gets delivered today. Still scouting for putting a speaker setup together; I also like the sound of a 10 at home.
Inspiring to have you back talking gear with all else that must be in your head.

Do you have a "go-to" setup you prefer when you've got effects in front?

I rarely touch Quilter knobs, all on 5-6 and master volume a little rolled off to the comfort level. There’s a slight break up in this position so I may use pedals to push it more if I need, that’s generally all.

Thanks my man! It'll get played with a lot for sure; I happen to like all 3 "models" of amp they chose for various things.
Enjoy, and best to your family!

Thank you! Yep, all three models are nice and usable, however 65 is surely a winner for me. 57 is a little too compressed and 61 is clean, bright and a sometimes shrill, I guess will be great with a guitar not so bright as my Jazzmaster.

I played 4 theatre shows in Toronto this weekend with the A’no:wara dance company. Since I had to fly I used my Quilter Superblock US (direct line out into the PA with a monitor for me with the backing tracks). It sounded great in the theatre (about 400 seater).

That's impressive, Mike. Smile

I'm considering purchasing both the US and UK models.
I really appreciate hearing about everyone's experiences with these.
