Permalink Mail day: Tiki Tones test pressing

New Topic

Today I have a particularly exciting addition to my vinyl collection - a Dionysus test pressing! This is "Songs for Rum Drinkers", a 4-song EP from 1995 by the Tiki Tones, a 3rd wave surf band with a tiki theme.

It's playing as I write this, and it sounds great!

Such a great sounding band. I only have the 2 CD releases, and sadly no 45's. Enjoy!

Mike, Lee might have the 45s still.

I too enjoy their sound - it's very unique. The organ in particular is awesome.

IIRC Shag was in this band. He certainly designed the sleeve art.

Correct! Shag did some awesome art for many other 3rd wave bands; Bomboras, Fathoms, Ghastly Ones, and others... hopefully he does more in the future.

Some of The Huntington Cads releases, of course.

Also in a non surf band the Swanp Zombies before the cads.
