Nice one, Hogfysshe, i dig that second to last part. I think they have a great sound, always well produced.

I'm getting in the Halloween mood by listening to this creepy genius...

Here’s a song I’ve been listening to and learning. Fallout by Aston Martin and the Moon Discs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnBXnk0vFhI
It has a nice single-coil tone, nice melody, and it moves right along. There’s a place with a barred F major that’s tough to get to in time.

I looked at whether this song was ever discussed here. I found references to it in playlists of shows, but no discussion, so here goes.

From http://sw_index.tripod.com/musician-band.html
Moon Discs, the
from: Floydada & South Plains, Tx
members: Jimmy Pritchett-lead guitar, Price Pritchett-guitar, Doug Walding-bass guitar, Gerry Sawyer --drums ?
Active: 1960-61
Label: Del Rio
released: cot. 1961
The song 'Fallout' was purported to have reached the Billboard Chart, at about #75.

According to something I found, Jimmy Pritchett would have been 16 years old in ‘61.

Evidently Walding had an association with Buddy Holly early on.

Jimmy Pritchett, had some singles (vocals): That’s the Way I feel and Nothing on my Mind

If I'd stop buying old guitars to fix, I might actually learn to play.
