Permalink Need Help Identifying an Effect on a Tune

New Topic

I've been learning to play this Blue Stingrays tune. But since I'm a novice with effects, I would like another set of ears so I can try to match the effect when I play it. I hear some very subtle tremolo or vibrato or some other modulation effect going on. What effect do you think is on the guitar?

It's tremolo, most likely optical tremolo on a Fender amp set at a medium intensity and speed.

Thanks Sandbug!

That’s a great tune.

Sometimes that laid back Surf is forgotten. It wasn’t all Dick Dale with his reverb at 11 and his very bushy hair on fire. Smile Even Dale himself did some pretty mellow stuff, like Summer Surf.

Maybe this will help you learn the song. It’s a nice laidback song. Although this is played without the tremolo.

Thanks Joelman! I did transcribe Bruce's tab. It was very helpful and right on.
