Welcome Olivier, Great to have you here on SG101.
Get Bach and Exposition are both wonderful albums! Get Bach is legendary, everybody should own it. I think it was the best selling CD I ever stocked in the old POP Mart.
Do the Baronics have plans to record? Are you guys still playing live?

Thanks,
Ferenc

Hi Oliver, glad to have you on board. Oliver was really nice enought to send me some of the Baronics CD's that I didn't have. It's really great stuff and I listen to it all the time. Enjoy your stay and don't be a stranger.

Bienvenue, Olivier!

Olivier called me a couple of years ago when I ordered the Baronics CDs. I was the fan who took 10 years to finally track down the CDs after seeing the Baronics live as part of the entertainment on one the Grand Tour cycling events.

Get Bach is really one of my favourite surf records!

RK

Welcome! I also loved your Get Bach! CD. Glad to have you here.

Welcome. Huge fan of Get Bach. I've shared that with sooo many people!

Either you surf, or you fight.

Welcome,
big fan here too.
but I do need to get the 2nd and or 3rd cds still.

Another fan of Exposition and Get Bach here! The Baronics are one of several specific reasons I got excited about surf music in the first place. I'm always delighted to see signs of permanence in that quarter.

My drummer's wife is a shall we say over-the-top fan of Cannon in D. She has multiple cds of covers and knows it inside and out. I pitched the Baroncis version to the band- resounding thumbs up.

when pitched to Ms. Drummer, she furrowed her brow paced around the living room in a somewhat agitated state then gave it a huge smile and the thumbs up.

The Baronics version rocks.

Welcome to SG 101!

Just posted to Youtube of a 1997 performance, their version of Vivaldi's 'Spring'. Stellar playing and surf arrangement. These guys are among my very favorite surf bands.

That is fucking AWESOME!!!!!

Thanks for posting that, Danny. To me, that is a perfect demonstration of what Surf guitar is all about. In this case, they took a well known classical piece and made it into something entirely new and different. Actually, that’s exactly what Dick Dale did, with Miserlou. It’s a double win; great music, and no mechanical rights to purchase. Smile
