Would anyone be interested in buying my Blonde Fender P-Bass Reissue? It's got a telecaster-style head, new single magnetic pickup, and the jack has been fixed up. Pics to follow.
This bass was used for recording three Surf Report albums: Bikini Island Experiment, Inferno, and Lavarockreverb.
I'm throwing this up as a trial balloon...if there's serious interest, I'm selling. Ideally, I'd like $500 for it...OBO.

Hey? What's up with Surf Report? Are you officially defunct? inquiring minds would like to know.

Danny,
Surf Report has pretty much been done for about two years now. Rick found fatherhood took up time, along with his emerging focus both on recording and Rickshaw Records. They hung it up after a stellar ten-year run, in which they cranked out four discs of killer material.
3/4 of the guys went on to become Secret Samurai, and Rick is sitting in with CHUM these days. Speaking of which - hope to see you in SJ on Friday in SJ.

Bill, I was planning on hitting the Forbidden Island show. Is SmokeTiki worth driving down to SJ for?

I'd say so -- two bands for a total of nearly four hours, and the music happens from 6 to 10, so you're gauranteed a fairly early night. Plus, they get a lot of "talent" at the Smoke, if you know what I mean...
Either way, you'll see us the next day at Mark Holt's, so it's up to you, really. For others who don't have invites to the private party, you might want to plan on heading to Smoke Tiki.

Steve, good luck with that.
if it had a P/J pick up config on it, I'd snap it up.
