Came up the other day in a discussion. I was thinking that there only a few all-surf shows in the US and Canada that are currently broadcasting on AM or FM. All the ones I can remember are in the non-commercial end of the dial.
What other stations are there?
I can think of
KFJC Foothill (college)
WOBC Oberlin (college)
WTUL Tulane (college)
WAIF Cincinnati (community)
Thanks, Mary

No other stations with surf shows on broadcast radio?
The discussion was about whether college and other non-commercial stations really do give listeners a chance to discover music...
Thanks, Mary

Yeah, those are all the ones I'm aware of, though I don't know if the presence of a dedicated surf show really dictates whether a college station is exposing people to different music

GA Tech has a show called Longboards and Longhorns on Tuesday nights hosted by Atlanta's biggest surf music fan, Bill Raser. It used to be a mix of country and surf, but has since gone strictly surf.

Florida Tech has "Big Surf Show/Dawn Patrol" on Saturday mornings from 6a-8a (Eastern time). The host (Danny Morris) is musician w/ a Stratocaster & plays out Friday nites, so a lot of these are "taped" in advance. www.wfit.org check it out, pretty good !

KOOP in Austin used to have Dragsville, but that was a long time ago now. And it mixed in some exotica and hot rod stuff, if you're being a purist.
WORT in Madison has 2 shows that mention surf, but are not all-surf.

Austin Potter had a surf radio show from KAOS 89.3 FM that I used to listen to back in 2009. Don't know if it's still going on. Here're some details he provided:
Hello, My name is Austin Potter I host a surf radio program on KAOS 89.3 FM called "Catch A Wave" in Olympia, Wa. You can listen to the show live Monday evenings 6-8pm at kaosradio.org and Friday nights 10-11pm on KYA San Francisco at kyaradio1.com.

Thanks for all the feedback. So far I know of:
KFJC Foothill (college)
WOBC Oberlin (college)
WTUL Tulane (college)
WAIF Cincinnati (community)
KAOS Evergreen State (college)
WFIT Florida Tech (college)
WREK Georgia Tech (college)
WORT Madison, Wisconsin (community)
It says a lot to me that all of these stations are on the non-commercial end of the dial. I guess commercial stations don't see a profit or ratings potential in surf or many other kinds of music.

Thanks for all this good info, Guy!
I cannot find the above surf show on the schedule of WPGU, KFAI, or CJAM so maybe these have moved to a new time or have ended. But they are college/community stations in any case.
I will add WRFL in Lexington, Kentucky to my list. Another non-commercial station - it says on its web site "Revolutions Don't Happen Between Commercial Breaks!"
This question came up during a discussion at KFJC about whether non-commercial radio really plays any music that is not heard on commercial stations. Of course, surf is just one example.

90.7 KSER, community public radio in Everett, WA has a eclectic guitar music show, Frettin' Fingers on Saturdays at 11am Pacific hosted by my friend Jim Hilmar. Jim usually has an instrumental set in the show that contains some surf from all eras.
