Our 2nd in a series of old jazz tunes that have been "surfed up!". With a name like "surfboard" this 60's jazz classic needed a bit of surf guitar and some knarly surfing video to make it fun.

That’s a cool tune. The organ really opens up arrangement possibilities in surf music. Nice.

Great job!

I think it’s time for me to get back in the studio!

Cool! That's some great footage. Smile

Great tune and such a creative rendition.
Surprised you didn't include any great lake surfing footage.
That is the gnarliest of all surfing!

Thanks! Yes we could have including some lake surfing... But guys in wetsuits with ice in their beards doesn't really say "summer fun". It's wild to watch them surfing on November storm days on lake Michigan. Not for me...

I love surfing but not even the warmest wetsuit could get me into the chilly lake for a slide. Warm summer fun is always a good time!

Both the music and the video are brilliant! Some serious musicianship and arranging chops on display there.

That sounds like an awesome project! Blending the smooth rhythms of 60's jazz with the high-energy vibe of surf guitar is a creative idea. Adding a gnarly surfing video is the perfect touch to bring the music to life visually. Can't wait to see how it turns out—surf's up! If you need any tips on sourcing classic jazz samples or ideas for integrating surf guitar into a jazz setting, I'm here to help. Rock on!
