Well, you know, in today's world, with everybody being bombarded by media and entertainment every second of the day, you've gotta try anything you possibly can! Though, I'm not sure it really worked very well....
I tried to fully link/attach the video to this post, but for some reason it won't let me. So, here's just the link again.

Really hope you all enjoy the song and the video! Happy new year t all SG101-ers, may it be MUCH better than the wretched 2020!

Hey I am very impressed! Very cool tune and (of course) the playing is awesome, and it’s incredible how one can hear the tiniest notes through all that crazy reverb. I liked this a lot!

Thank you so much!! Recorded live in a huge auditorium, with just bass and percussion overdubbed later. Jeremy DeHart recorded and mixed the whole thing, and did an absolutely killer job! Here's where we did it (SO MUCH FUN!):

Wow, what a recording space! Did ya’ll hear headphones? Or just listen to each other in the room without headphones?

Thanks! No headphones, all three of us in a circle, watching and listening to each other, completely live! We only had three days of this, and we worked on seven songs in total, these two being the ones we completed, the others in progress. We went from never having played any of those songs together to getting the final takes for both "Barbary Corsairs" and "Long Live the King" in three days. I think that's a record for anything I've ever been involved in! Good musicianship.

Hmmm, can you check to see if you have enabled embedding in your YouTube control panel for the video Ivan? Or maybe was it marked age-restricted? No big deal.

I'm already a huge fan of this project. You guys are simply among the best there is and it's a real thrill getting to hear each new thing you release. The surf sound and performance is to die for. I hope this is a sign of more good things to come musically and otherwise in the new year. Thank you!

Brian, yes, I have.

It is not marked age-restricted.
I've tried embedding it multiple times, in different threads, both on my computer and my phone, and it doesn't work. It's puzzling since I've never had this problem before with any other video, I've embedded many YouTube videos through the years. Here's the message I get when I hit "Attach" for the video:
"Oops, an error occurred. BAD REQUEST - Sorry, we could not retrieve your video (HTTP Error 403: Forbidden)"
What do you think, any clue why it's doing this? Maybe you can try to embed the video through your post and see if that works?
Thanks, Brian!

Holy cow, that's all EXTREMELY kind of you to say, deep thanks! We can't wait to get back to it and we'll be keeping you all posted on any progress. Suffice to say right now that I'm truly excited about the quality of the songs and the musicianship! This project has absolutely been the highlight of the year for me (and I think, actually, maybe for all three of us!). So, we're eager to get back to it! Reading these sorts of comments is extremely encouraging, though, thank you again!

Yes Awesome! What a great way to start the new year, lets kick that Kung Flu's butt hole
Ivan I'd never heard of the Barbary Corsairs, I am interested in Mediterranean sea trade as a part of understanding ancient Egypt. Here's one you have probably never heard of from about the same time period as the Corsairs. Strangely there are no films or documentaries just a children's book written in 1962. https://www.oldharry.com/blogs/yarns/43814019-the-story-of-harry-paye
