If there is no on/off jack, it's possible to connect the Drip Switch using a male/dual female RCA adapter at the reverb return. I'm away from home at the moment but when I get back post a photo showing how.

Having invested a great deal of time and money into developing this pedal, it would be my preference that you buy one from me rather than clone it. That being said, if you choose to clone it, I hope you'll donate something to support the SG101 forum, as it's a great asset we all enjoy.

OK, here's how to use the Drip Switch when there isn't a foot switch jack. Note that this also works with a Surfy Bear kit.
You'll need an RCA single male to dual female splitter and an RCA to 1/4" adapter. Unplug the reverb return RCA from the chassis reverb return input (between the two shielded tubes). Plug the RCA splitter in its place.
Then, plug the reverb return cable into one of the female ends of the splitter, and connect the Drip Switch to the other using a 1/4" cable and the RCA to 1/4" adapter.
There are other types of RCA splitters, but I recommend this flexible type as it's easy to use and then tuck into the Reverb for transport.

BTW, I was able to borrow a Reissue '65 Princeton Reverb to test. Same concept as above, but with the addition of an RCA right angle adapter.
Here, the stock footswitch will work the same as always as an on/off for the reverb and vibrato, but the Drip Switch can control the reverb level.
Note that the RCA splitter can be tucked inside the back panel; I've got it exposed here for clarity.

I have had a chance to use the new drip switch and I think it is amazing. Mel updated it recently to include more dwell sweep and an on/off light. It sounds better than before and has more functionality with the improved dwell sweep. The on/off light is really helpful as well. The switch enables me to move from reverb drench (say Baja lead) to a regular reverb mode (say Hawaii Five-O lead) with one push of a button. How many times have you moved from song to song in the set list and have the wrong reverb setting? This fixes that with a push of a button. All in, it's a must own if you use a reverb tank. Give it a try, it's the best $60 I've spent on gear in a very long time.

Hey, Mel, could you explain to me how this would integrate with my old Twin Reverb? I’m not getting the gist. Would it replace one side of the dual foot-switch circuit somehow? (Forgive me for being slow, here.) MelWaldorf wrote:

Combo Amp
On a Fender style combo amp with vibrato and reverb, you will need our accessory kit to connect the Drip Switch. Start by disconnecting the reverb return cable from the Reverb Output jack on the chassis. Plug in the RCA male to dual female splitter to the Reverb Output. Connect the reverb return cable to one side of the splitter, and, connect the RCA to 1/4" adapter to the other side. Plug a standard 1/4" instrument cable into the adapter to connect the Drip Switch. The stock Reverb/Vibrato footswitch is not affected and may be used to turn the Reverb on and off.

Danny's got the answer, here's a picture to clarify. Basically, you plug the Drip Switch in at the reverb output on the amp chassis using a RCA splitter and RCA to 1/4" adapter (which we sell as an accessory kit). This way, use can use the stock foot switch as usual to control the vibrato and reverb on/off, and use the Drip Switch for reverb level.
Also, using the accessory kit, the Drip Switch switch will work with Fender -Reverb reissue amps. The attached photo is a Princeton Reverb reissue.

Ok....now I'm really getting interested. So, my MIC Tone Bakery 6G15 clone does have an on/off switch jack...however judging by Mel's previous response, if I were to follow Mel's directions "You'll need an RCA single male to dual female splitter and an RCA to 1/4" adapter. So could I have my cake and eat it too? I could control the mix with the Drip Switch and still have the unit's on/off switch connected? If this is doable then I could literally have three foot switchable reverbs available: the reverb from the outboard tank w/ a lower mix setting, the outboard tank w/ the Drip Switch on for max surf drip or the outboard tank completely off and just my on board amp reverb on. It also looks like Mel sells an accessory kit to go with the Drip Switch with the correct splitter, etc.

Very cool! Two small thoughts:
the chicken head knob is great for set and forget, but wondering if a bigger knob could allow for foot twisting during a show...
Alternately, there are lots of busted wah pedals that have a great enclosure and then you'd have a variable reverb pedal that would be easy to vary reverb levels with your foot and the on/off switch. Just a thought...

Ned - oddly enough, I've found the chicken head easier to turn with my foot than cylindrical knobs. I can feel where it's pointing through my shoes, but my soles may be a little worn out. ;) I had considered a vol/wah style pedal but the choice of potentiometers is more limited and also the cost would be much higher since the vol pedal style enclosures are a lot more expensive than a little box.
Drake, the Drip Switch does not work with the Surfybear Metal directly, as the foot switch is not wired like a traditional reverb circuit. It can work by connecting an adapter to the reverb return of the pan, but you'd still have to drill through the enclosure to put a jack in.
Surfadelphia - (yes, I know your comment is over a year old, I'm a putz when it comes to monitoring forums) - yes, you could use the on/off jack as standard and use the Drip Switch connected at the reverb return.
Also, the pedal is now available through Surfy Industries as the "Surfy Drip": SURFY DRIP!!!
