Hey I'm new here. Do you folks like sharing playlists around here?
I've been putting this sci-fi inspired playlist together, some classics and some cool covers by bands new and old.

Post yours, or post your favorite if you don't make them yourself!

This playlist is past 100 songs. All are guitar rock instrumentals.
Many songs on it are by Finnish Rautalanka instrumental guitar rock bands. It includes really great stuff from obscure bands such as the Irreversible Slacks. Also my favorite Insanitizers recordings.
Using playlists seems to decrease the number of commercial interruptions on Spotify free. Soon after you start hearing a playlist Spotify will offer 30 minutes of commercial-free play if you allow a short commercial message. If you then stay on the playlist you should get the whole 30 minutes, if you leave it expect another commercial soon.

Hi there, and welcome to the forum!
Nice Sci-Fi list you got going there. Added it to my library.
Heres a list I've made with some modern and edgy sounding Surf Rock.

And heres a playlist with some Spaghetti Western inspired Surf tunes:

I found a lot of those band in that list in the infamous "Spaghetti Western Thread"

Hey this thread is working out great, I had to google Rautalanka. Nice niche!

Hey as I'm checking out these playlists I'm wondering some things.
When you make or pick out a playlist, how long do you want it? Short and sweet like an album or so long you can listen all day without repeating?
Themed or generalized?
I gotta say I've never really considered length or making a generalized playlist.

This was the plan for the playlist I linked to above: I chose songs I wanted to hear while relaxing, driving, doing home maintenance or personal paperwork without having to touch my cellphone. Yes I use my cellphone but often with upscale headphones or through a stereo (e.g., car stereo). I enjoy hearing each song repeatedly but made the list long enough for variety. 100 songs = about 300 minutes = about 5 hours.
I have also made short temporary playlists to collect temporary favorites, as contrasted with the durable favorites on the playlist link I posted.
