Hey all. I am stuck at home. Probably like a lot of you now and many more in the days to come. Anyone making new music? My wife has the new virus and I am symptom-free. Work has ground to a halt and I am mixing all kinds of things, myself, as I have literally years worth of stuff in the can I was too busy to mess before now. I am also writing some new things.
Apologies if a thread already exists, but I saw nothing.
Stay safe, everyone!

The guys in our band started swapping audio files online, about a week ago, in an effort to utilize this time to make some music.
We're hoping to have some new material completed soon and would love to see other musicians doing the same.
I may be contacting others here to take part. Rev, Chad, et al, you up for it again?
Stay safe,
Jeff

I have been using the time to work on some original material, and learn some old stuff I missed the first time around.
I hope your wife is feeling better today.

I am teleworking these days but after work surf guitar is still going strong! When I am not in a particularly creative frame of mind, I work on transcribing and arranging surf/instro tunes for the group. Currently working on "Malaguena" and will soon work on The Eliminators "Dawn Patrol".
I have a number of books like Johnny Marr's autobiography that I want to read, too.

Hope your family is recovering, LHR.
I’m telecommuting, which is frustrating, but I’m fortunate to continue working.
I’ve been trying on-line jamming with Jamkazam.com, but the system seems overloaded and even more unstable with many new users trying to jam over wireless. (THat rarely works.)
I will offer here to record some more drums-only backing tracks for the surf classics that our community members are working to learn. Send me a PM, and Time and skill permitting, I’ll post over in the “Downloads” section. Better yet - just tell us what you are working on right here, as initiated by LHR.
Be well, all!

We were already working on some long distance recordings, but have just stepped those up and more ideas are getting worked on. Stay safe and best to your wife.

Hoping she has the mildest symptoms at most.
Nope. It got bad. She ended up with lobar pneumonia. Just now getting better.

While I am stuck at home, I am working on recording a surf classic. I was wondering if someone would like to play bass on the track? I will give you 100% full credit for your contribution. As always, this is just for fun.
I may put it on my bands website at some point in the future. It is very easy to play, but I am not a bass player! PM me for more details, and if interested I will email you the current demo in MP3 format. Thank you!
PS: Almost forgot to mention, I am using my new Brownfacer for the lead and rhythm!
LHR, I hope your wife is feeling better. I also got pneumonia from Covid-19, it was awful.

I sent you a PM about my interest in playing bass, but your inbox is full, probably from the multitude of bass players who responded to your request!
