Beautiful! You always make it look too easy with your graceful and fluid style. You really captured the sound and importantly the feel of the original. I also like the hat. As a Giants fan I can't wait for the orange and black to take the field again when this is all over. |

This was truly a wonderful surprise, Ferenc, and I'm deeply honored and even blown away! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH - I LOVE IT! Really well done with both the playing and the video, love all the photos of us together through the years, from Hawaii to California to Italy! (Too bad none exist from Seattle!) Thank you, my friend! I should mention that this song was my attempt at writing a Jerry-Lordan-type Shadows epic in the style of Wonderful Land and Atlantis. Since both of those songs rely heavily on the string section for their drama and since hiring an orchestra wasn't really in our budget, Ferenc kindly offered to compose the string arrangement and have his wife Karen replicate a string section with her keyboards. I truly was amazed by the final results - I think they did an astonishingly great job, far surpassing my expectations or even hopes! The fact that he has the ability to compose a string arrangement is just incredible to me! I should also mention that Ferenc also provided some feedback on the song's arrangement, leading to us cutting it down a bit, avoiding some repetition, and I think improving it a great deal. So, he was heavily involved in making that song what it is, and I am very grateful! You truly rock, my friend! —Ivan |
