Cowabunga everybody! Hopefully everyone here will be going to the Southern Surf Stompfest this year (I know you are, just admit it!). It's definitely going to be an amazing soul-refreshing-reverb-drenched spectacle of surfy goodness! As an addition to this annual mecca for us Surf-Loving Southerners, there's a pre-party at the oldest Tiki Bar in the US, Trader Vics! So in Honor of this majestic establishment and for the delight of the Surf Community in attendance, I'd like to introduce the Manakooras! We will be playing Tiki Versions of all of your favorite Surf Songs (Some were originally Exotica songs you know!), in the Exotica style with seasoned Surf Music professionals! So without further ado, please meet:
Kane Manakoora (ME!) - Fender Deluxe Steel Guitarist (Ex-Aqualads/Invaders from the Deep)
Tiki Mo - Guitarist Extraordinaire! (The Reverburritos)
Zombie Dave - Bassist Exceptionelle! (Invaders from the Deep)
Sticks Stechakoora - Bongoist from another planet! (The Penetrators)
We've worked up 13 of the best surf songs we could think of for the party and it's going to be Mai-Tai's and Zombies for everyone, while listening to the instrument that started Surf Music (Highly controversial statement here, but ask me about it and I'll explain it to you)
We will be releasing a few recordings on Bandcamp prior to our show, and keep your eyes peeled for a CD Release! So obviously we're starting it all out with the one that made Surf Music what Surf Music IS!
MISERLOU!
Enjoy! And don't forget to head on out to Trader Vics on the 20th, and to the majesty that will be the Southern Surf Stompfest!

Very good, downloaded the songs via Bandcamp.
You might consider a couple of other tunes that would do well with steel guitar for your upcoming release, of which I like Moon of Manakoora by The Desperates https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlMYaAEfpRA
Also, Yellow Bird, by The Ventures https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZgtDdFcZgc
