The Madeira plays the Surf Night at Radio Radio in Indy on Saturday, August 31st with The AmpFibians (Cincinnati, OH) and Retro on the Rocks - AND we are unbelievably excited to announce that Jim Skiathitis, guitarist of the legendary '60s Australian surf band The Atlantics, will be joining us to play lead on several of their songs! This will be Jim's first time ever playing in the US, an historic event! We very much hope you will join us for what is sure to be an unforgettable Surf Night!

Here's Jim with the Atlantics playing Bombora and The Crusher on Aussie TV in '63!!
Richard, tto finally answer your question! Jim and his wife will be visiting the US as tourists, and since we've been long-distance friends for some 20 years now, he contacted me and wanted to meet me in person on this trip. He gave me certain dates and the choice of location, and one of those coincided with this show we already had booked - so the natural thing was to invite him to play with us! Despite not really having played for several years, he agreed! It's a HUGE thrill for me, as you can imagine!

Are you guys playing at the Spot Tavern in Lafayette, IN this Friday? I saw something about this, but it's well hidden. I will likely go if you're actually playing. And what time does it start?

Jon, yes! Darn, I guess I forgot to post about it elsewhere! oops!
We'll be starting as early as 9:45 pm (though probably more like 10-10:30 - just can't be sure), and playing an hour or more.
