Has anyone out there tried Milkman’s stand-alone reverb unit, or the one with both reverb & harmonic trem? I saw a couple of references to this one in various posts, but no specific reviews yet...
I’m only looking for an analog tube unit to replace my Topanga reverb pedal and harmonic trem pedals... this is for home use, and maybe for gigs if I find I don’t mind carrying it around. I'm all set for solid-state solutions at the moment.
I’m interested in user comparisons to old Fender tanks (which I have), and your impression of the harmonic trem?
Any other thoughts welcome too!
Thanks all!

I haven't tried the Milkman. I was tempted to get the Carl's Custom reverb unit, he'll add tremolo for $200

I recently found a used reverb and harmonic trem unit from Audio Cage amps. Never heard of them but read good reviews on his amps. The reverb isn't as good as my other reverb unit, but the trem was worth it to me. Both the reverb and trem are footswitchable, too. Here's a link to the one I bought:

I was hoping for more options but these, the Billy Zoom and the Weber kits were all that I saw.
Happy hunting!

I have one of the Milkman reverb units to go with several Milkman amps I own. I can tell you that Tim at Milkman builds the units with the highest integrity and best possible components available. The Breakaways have been using them this year with great success. The reverb unit sounds amazing and the harmonic trem is spot on with the best of my brown face Fender units. We recorded some demos which I will attach and you can hear them for yourself. If you need very lightweight gear with the vintage tone and amazing build quality, Milkman is the way to go.

*gatorfiend - thanks for the tips on the Carls and Audio cage options, much appreciated... I'll investigate. I think the Victoria uses a different reverb circuit than what you'd find in an old Fender tank... it's all 12A_7 tubes for one... the marketing literature notes the 'verb is based on a Twin Reverb.
*Craig - thanks for your comments on the Milkman unit... your bands sound fine! I like that you're writing and posting original songs too... good work! If you sat your old Fender amps beside the Milkman, how would you compare/contrast the verb and harmonic trem? Thanks.

Valcotone,
The Milkman reverb unit is somewhat more complex and richer than the fender. It has a beautiful decay and nails the splash of its vintage counterpart. The unit itself just feels more solid and when you are transporting it around there isn’t the usual rattle. The various settings give you the full range of reverbs from amp style to tic tac surf and everything in between. The harmonic Trem is the same as the fender brown face. I couldn’t tell any difference.

Breakaways, you guys sound amazing in those videos! You probably don't remember, but one of you sent me a (free) CD here in Memphis. I still listen to it all the time.
