For any rock and roll/garage/punk fans, this is a really great festival in Oakland on July 6th. We had some new jackets made for us and this will be our first show wearing them. The gal in the bondage gear in the attached photo won’t be appearing, but we do have a few other interesting things lined up. And playing with The Jesus and Mary Chain is one of the weirder/cooler things we have done. Hope to see some of you there!

Mel, that jacket is amazing. I can tell it's left your date speechless.
I'm curious about the Dead Boy's. New band using old name, or is it one or two originals?

Red feather: Thanks for the nice words. I’m not sure I agree with you!

Surf Skater: They are just like our old purple jackets, and those still look brand new after 23 years of hard use. The fella that makes them for us worked for Ed Roth, and did the upholstery for a number of his cars.

And I think they are The Dead Boy, if I’m not mistaken. I last saw them in 1979. I hope they are better now.

I also would have LOVED to see you guys. Been a fan since that “Phantom Surfers” 7” came to me from the Estrus Crust Club! I was in Hawaii then so there was no way for me to see you guys, Mummies, Brentwoods, Supercharger, Trashwomen, Car Thieves, Spoiled Brats - none of em!

Glad to see you’re still playing! Some of those PS originals are staggeringly good songwriting and a sound (West Coast Go! Sound?) that cannot be beat.
