WOW!! This could signify a change in the tides of surf music, perhaps drifting out of obscure for a minute! Man, I hope it does.

Messer Chups is such a cool band...playing for almost 20 years now? I was in Russia back in January and missed their Moscow show by one night!! Had a friend in Dallas, who missed their recent show by one night!!
Looking forward to seeing some live recordings with their new guitar player, Intoxica. Lol.
As a half-assed surf guitar player, I’ve gotta say I’m pretty envious of Oleg!

Well let's not get too excited (edit: about surf music coming out of obscurity). Los Straitjackets toured with Tom Petty, The Bambi Molesters with REM, and Laika & The Cosmonauts opened for Ministry.
