I thought I post a update here, If I posted about your band and it only has a few links etc (That's all I could find so far) Will update later if any new info emerges. Many of the last few bands posted here were extremely hard to find anything. Many earlier posts need to be expanded being I didn't start the 4 video and multiple link thing to much later. Have 947 bands on my World Surf Bands - Home page - Video Links list at home. so about 247 bands still to list here. Many recent posts are bands I could not find much on them before and still hard to find. I saved them for last in case any new content showed up etc...Still hard to find, List of things that makes it hard to find your band. 1.) Bands with the same name. Most bands with multiple sites and videos were the easiest to find so far. I guess that works pretty good overall. Bands on Bandcamp or some other music site seems to work well to me as well. It appears that bands that live or play a lot in big cities are easier to find, not sure the connection there or why that works, it could be just more people search for the band being more people live in those locations, Dunno It does appear that bands that spent a lot of time making videos and developing their sites helped out a lot as far as searching on the net, Not sure if that translates into fans at the door or not but I would think it would. Promoting a band is increadibly hard and can take years to develope any kind traction or momentum, so many factors come into play it can be a lot of luck but it looks like spending time working on a bands facebook or whatever link on the net pays off long term to me. Looks like I will have a list of bands I can;t find and will post them here someday in the future so maybe people in that band or know about them can give us info on them here. I still think Youtube is a major keyto geting your band out there, posting as many live videos as you can has to be a major promotional device or even just having your fans make and post them helps as well. |

Mustard Allegro (Bristol, United Kingdom) https://www.facebook.com/MustardAllegroMusic/ Biography (From Facebook Page) Finally, after ten years playing the sleaziest bars in Las Vegas, New York and Intercourse (no really, look it up) Bristol's 11th best surf band are back in the dis-United Kingdom. With fond memories of cockroach infested motels and the Amish surf scene they have discarded their pants and proudly donned their trousers in order to chase the dream of becoming Bristol's 10th best surf band. Formed in January 2006 after Mark E Smith from the Fall failed to arrive at a gig and an impromptu surf set prevented a violent riot from destroying Slough despite the best efforts of ringleader John Betjeman. This triumph promised glory for the future and Mustard Allegro stepped boldly into the blinding light of progress. Inspired by a whole host of musicians that you've never heard of and with an injection of Afro-beat that has outraged UKIP, the band are delighted to be back in the UK after their release from Guantanamo Bay. |
