While I fully respect everyone's choices here, for me there can only be one...

It’s a classic.

The artist formerly known as: Synchro

When Surf Guitar is outlawed only outlaws will play Surf Guitar.

If not that, then this:

Not mine, but I wish. Lately have been loving the matching headstock, and the surfy colors like sonic blue and surf green. Had a surf green Strat and sold it. Jag or Jazz have been my on latest wish list!

I can’t stop playing it!

Love all of my guitars for a variety of different reasons, including playability, versatility and tone, but when it comes to instrumental surf, I much prefer my Jag over all others.

Love the jag!

My opinion should matter very little, and to tell the truth, there aren't a lot of guitars that I don't like. but this puppy has been performing better than expected. Very close to a strat, but still it's own thing.

Had 2 (white and greenburst)in the past.
Great pickups and trem.

I had one of those in Greenburst. I couldn't quite get on with the fingerboard so sold it. My hands are fairly small and I found the edges of the fingerboard sharp and a little fatiguing. I would quite like a Bison now.

Re. the recent chat about Mustangs, I had this 1966, but I found the pickups pretty flat and anaemic so sold it on.

Ooooooo I dig this!

From past me to future you

This just walked into my friend's record/vinyl store.
Good thing he plays guitar!
An actual "old lady walked in with this" story.

I was too jealous to ask what he got it for, LOL.

That's pretty. One of my wants for a long time now has been a real Yamaha SG-2 or SG-5. I am also jealous Big Grin

my surf guitars..well, some of them

Jag 4 life!!
JM 4 fun!!

I'm seriously contemplating purchasing this.

Anyone with me?

Certainly a piece of art! Immense woodworking skills shown there.

My concern is the Ric pickups, will they have enough "ummmph?" But that said, didn't seem to bother Pete Townshend back in the day Wink

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most...

With those toasters, I actually already have a set i had rewound with more oomph. Generally they are pretty trebly.

I might go and plug it in next week before giving a derisory offer
