It shipped on Monday, and arrived yesterday (Wednesday). Right now, I'm too busy with "playing Army," and work this weekend, to do much more than reading the manual. This coming Monday and Tuesday, I'll have to rearrange my 2 bedrooms, to be able to have all of my toys in the bigger of the 2. Once I've got everything all setup, I'll start seeing what I can do, as far as recording guitar tracks. I'll probably order a 4 gig CF card, next weekend, if I can't find one locally.
Why I chose the bigger of the 2 bedrooms to put my bed and such in, when I was moving in, I'll never figure out. A guitar collection that's grown to 17, 4 computers/monitors, a Hammond M2 spinet organ, large model car collection (mostly unbuilt/partially built). Maybe it was just the excitement of "I'm buying my first house!" that did it. Oh well...at least now I'll be able to start capturing my guitar instrumentals, rather than talking about them.

If I had a million dollars I'd probably have about 17 guitars, if not under.

I got my own exactly one week ago--a Fostex MR-8HD. I dunno how that compares, but I'm liking it. I too still need to go through the manual because pretty much as soon as I figured out how to do anything with it, I just threw the manual aside and started noodling around with it. Time to settle back down and get better acquainted with the thing now.

Yours has an internal hard disk as the recording media, where mine uses a Compact Flash (CF) card as the recording media.
