Permalink 32 TICKETS LEFT FOR DICK DALE SHOW IN RIVERSIDE, CA

New Topic
Page 1 of 1

I had a meeting with the promoter of Rhythm Collision this morning and he said the marketing manager at the Marriott Hotel informed him of the room capacity for his show.

Based upon ticket sales thus far, the show can only accommodate a few more people, so, the show is just about sold out where Dick Dale is headlining at the Marriott Hotel, 3400 Market Street, downtown Riverside on the evening of January 5. Dick takes the stage at 9:30 p.m.

I grabbed the remaining tickets, approximately 32 and I will only sell them to the following Dick Dale fans until Friday morning, January 4, 2018.

  1. Dick Dale fans who attended his shows in the early sixties;
  2. Dick Dale fans from the Inland Empire consisting of Riverside and San Bernardino counties;
  3. SurfGuitar101 members.

Email me at CallBeechwood45789@yahoo.com if you are interested and payment can be made via Paypal.

This show will be a rare opportunity to see Dick Dale replicate his songs that he played just a few blocks away from the Marriott at the Riverside Armory in 1962.

Plus, this will be the last night of Riverside's Festival Of Lights, the biggest Christmas light decorations in the entire USA.

Joey

Sounds good. I have recently been in touch with a few people that want to buy tickets.

SO ...you scalped up the remaining tix and will only sell to the people who meet YOUR criteria ? forget it then

No, its not that at all. I am extremely busy promoting and organizing the event, and have asked him to sell the remaining tickets. These are sold at the same exact price of only $35. Instead of selling them to people off the street, we are offering them to fellow Surf Music fans like yourself. I sincerely hope this clarifies things. Thank you, Axle

Axle thanks for helping Dick , all of us here have great respect for him , sometimes in spite of himself . I should add that Surfbeat /Joey is somewhat of an irritant on this forum ,almost to the point of being persona non grata .

Interesting all these new accounts joined up just to post in one of Joey's threads.

I like how SpeedyPete12 quoted himself.

Sigh.....

Jeff(bigtikidude)

Dangit... I only meet 2 of the 3 qualifications. Was a resident of the Inland Empire (Cal State San Berdoo, Rialto, Del Rosa Heights, Mentone) and am a member here, but I never was able to see DD in the 60's since I would have only been 2 or 3 years old on '63 or '64. Altho I did see him play, and even got to talk to him afterwards, at the Orange Show in Berdoo, circa '83 or so.

So close!

But most importantly - best wishes for DD and hope he has a good show!

Look at SurfBeat's post from Nov. 1. Tickets were only $30 then. And now Axle is asking $35 for "fellow Surf Music fans". All due respect and best wishes to Dick Dale. But, hey Joey, SurfBeat, Axle, Speedypete, Fredwheels..who ever you are...what gives??

Ben, let me get something straight. I don't live in my parents garage and have a minimum wage job like the person who made a post about me scalping tickets for the event that has Dick Dale on the bill: I practice law for a living so I do not need to scalp tickets to have extra spending money.

All I tried to do with my post was help Dick Dale fans in the Inland Empire and here get the limited number of tickets that I was told were available.

The ticket price I quoted was $30, NOT $35. I was a cop before going to law school, so I don't pull frauds on anyone. Compare my comments on my post to the price of the official literature; I did not ask for one damn cent extra!

Now if someone else is peddling tickets for more than $30, call them out, not me.

Dude, for being a lawyer, you sure do have some terrific grammar and tremendous ability to treat people with respect.

Oh, sorry. Today is opposite day for me.
