Permalink Aloha Swamp - Love Birds

New Topic

I'm listening to this repeatedly, it's a nice tune with lovely Jazzmaster tone. It sound like a horse riding kind of thing, does anybody recognise Love Birds by another artist. TIA

The melody sounds familiar, but I couldn’t even begin to pin it down to an artist or a name. Great video and great playing by the band.

The artist formerly known as: Synchro

When Surf Guitar is outlawed only outlaws will play Surf Guitar.

Great song! Is that clicking the stand up bass? It's really distracting. Don't recognize the song.

I expect so if you watch the other videos he really likes to slap the strings. Also I think the drummer is using something other than a stick in his left hand.

For those that don't know, That's Oleg from Messer Chups on lead.

...Was gonna say, did they clone Oleg?
I've heard stand-up in Messer Chups, Oleg seems to dig rockabilly, lots of surf bands seem to.
Personally it's one of my favorite genres, and I wish there were more surf bands using slap bass.
Thanks for the link!

And it sounds great.

The Katatonics and Los Pontiaks also do a great job with it
