While not a surf musician, he did influence me to make one of my favorite songs of his, "She," into an instrumental surf tune. I arranged this beautiful and haunting melody for our "Get Coco-Naughty" album. Thank you for the music, Charles!

I never met him, Pollo Guitar, I just liked his music. My dad was a huge early country fan, so I heard this when I was a wee lad and always loved it. Aznavour wrote it and Roy Clark did a great version:
