Gellert will be playing rhythm guitar on Miserlou, but we still need a bassist. We still need volunteers for rhythm guitar and bass on Midnight Run & Return of the Hawaiian Eye. Any takers??? —Scott |

Superstar Bay Area bassist Johnnie Hamilton (Shig and Buzz, The Berzerkers, The Mach IV) will be down for SG101. He's not on SG101, and I can't speak for him, but he may be interested in playing bass during the members jam. If there are any holes that need to be filled, let me know and I'll tell Johnnie. —Buy Speed of Dark @ Bandcamp |

Hey Scott, I'd like to volunteer to handle bass duties for Miserlou, Midnight Run, and Return of the Hawaiian Eye if you'll have me. Unless there is a spare bass available, I'll bring one with me from the east coast. —The doofus formerly known as Snorre |

I will be bringing a Fender 5 string fretted jazz bass, if that will fill your needs. If not I believe someone else had volunteered a 4 string previously in this thread. —The mighty KAHUNATONES www.donschott.com |

Thanks for the offer, much appreciated, but I've convinced myself to bring my Fender Mustang P/J bass with me if I can play. I'll just dismantle the neck for the flights and pack the neck & body in my suitcase with a gig bag. Assuming I get a chance to play - Sorry, I didn't have this page refreshed when Ferenc posted about his friend, Johnnie, when I posted my last post. —The doofus formerly known as Snorre |

If it helps, I can do rhythm on Return of the Hawaiian Eye. —_ Hi, I'm Gellert, guitarist for The Fintastics. |

Yeah, that what Ralph Kilauea does. I've not tried that trick. My main axe is a neck through body. I don't know... In practice tonight the neck on the Fender seems slow to me now. My fretless Carvin is speedy. I think I'm going to tough through this though and stick with the Fender. It's the string spacing I'm sure of it. I set you up on the list for the three and put Gellert up for Hawaiian Eye. There are still 3 other tunes that need a bass player DEADBEATS set..... > Ferenc posted about his friend, Johnnie. Maybe he could do those? Oh, what color is your mustang P/J ? —The mighty KAHUNATONES www.donschott.com Last edited: Jul 27, 2018 22:45:07 |

Cool, thanks! I did pm Zanti (Mr Reverb63) about offering to play on that set, too, but I hadn't heard back. If Johnnie or someone else covers those, great! If I have the time between now and when I get out there, I'll work on those songs as a backup if needed. It's a fairly new Fender Special Edition Mustang Bass from Sweetwater - Seafoam Green with a mint guard. —The doofus formerly known as Snorre |

Official SET LIST for 5th August 2018 MEMBERS JAM Interesting how this all came together this year. More of an osmosis of band formations coming to the table with tunes to do. Get there early! I'm attempting to put an order off presentation together that will allow for the players to not have to juggle their responsibilities. So , we can change this if we must but here is a layout First up: Three songs from The Astroglides! Second set of three: DEADBEATS + 1 Obey Third set : Gellert Domany - lead guitar Fourth set : Maxx Kominsky - lead guitar Return of the Hawaiian Eye Miserlou - Gellert will be playing rhythm guitar on Miserlou & Hawaiian Beth and I made it to San Diego today and will be in Orange County tomorrow. Call if you need to. —The mighty KAHUNATONES www.donschott.com Last edited: Jul 31, 2018 20:30:11 |
