Permalink young members in surf bands

Saw the the Young Barons last night in San Jose and was impressed with the enthusiasm of them. I began to think of other surf bands with young members (teens or in their 20s) and this is what I came up with:

The Deadbeats
The Tequila Worms
Shoot the Pier

I'm sure there are a lot more bands out there. What are some other bands with young members?

Millionaire Beach Bums?
Surfrajettes?

Happy Sunsets!

Well, when we started we were 19, 18, 17 & 14 years old. Our drummer had to have a permit from his parents to tour abroad. —

Thanks for thinking of Shoot the Pier Darren! I was listening again recently to a radio interview we did for Cousin Mary in about 2012, right after we released Low Hangs the Moon. Ellie was in high school at the time, and said in the interview she wanted to be a writer. Six years later, she learned this week she was accepted into the University of Edinburgh Writers Graduate school, and will be off to Scotland in September. She is very excited. Although I lose a music partner for awhile, I couldn't be happier. Time flies.

"It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea

In the 90s there was a band called the Stingrays from San Clamente, Ca.
They were 14ish when they started, and 18 ish when they stopped.
