Yet another reverb pedal to spark controversy. The brief clip has a pretty good drip and a double tap of the foot switch crashes the "tank".

The demo shows a wide assortment of great sounding reverbs. They do sound lovely. Moreover, other effects such as tremolo and modulation are included in the pedal. I'm very tempted. I wish they looked a bit more fun though, there's something about the current trend for grey plastic that leaves me cold. Shallow of me, I know. Not a deal breaker of course. |

I used to feel that way--until I started using the G1Xon. Zoom G1Xon patch construction is easy to learn and is easy to remember. Likewise for the G2. However operation of the Zoom A3 for acoustic guitar is awful. Yet the Zoom A3 looks gorgeous in its gleaming chromeplated metal, with numerous metallic knobs and buttons. The G1Xon is an ugly duckling. However, unlike previous G-series Zoom boxes you can read the Zoom G1Xon in either bright sun or dim light. I could not see the patch number on the Zoom G2 because its LED disappeared in sunlight. —Insanitizers! http://www.insanitizers.com |

Since we are talking about Zoom multi-effects pedals, I would like to throw in the Zoom MS-50G MultiStomp for consideration. The latest update gave it a '63 Spring Reverb and lots more. With its metal construction it seems tough enough for gigging and is a great "Swiss army knife" addition to any pedal board or just the one-pedal replacement for the whole pedal board. Many effects on the Zoom MS-50G and Zoom G1Xon have identical names, e.g., Springs63. Because they're from the same company, they probably have the same algorithms and sounds. Probably. —Insanitizers! http://www.insanitizers.com |

I think Ryans demo is the best one so far. My rhythm guitarist and I really like this pedal. I am going to buy one and use it for a back up to my tank, he is going to buy one and make it his main source of reverb. In my opinion it sounds more authentic than the FRV-1 pedal, and it's a lot more affordable than the Ventris. Cheers Ryan, seems like there's finally a pedal here with drip that doesn't chip a tooth when some dirt comes along.i play with a bit of dirt from both an amp and a pedal...the fvr-1 sometimes sounds like there's a truck driving passed the venue. Hate that. Should sell |
