The recent Spaghetti Western thread (pertaining to the reverb.com video) in the main forum got me thinking about a demo I wrapped up a few months ago. In particular, the discussion of rhythms and tones that seem to elicit a particular vibe.
This demo has three distinct drum rhythms (galloping, surf, and the killer driving rhythm used in "Estratosfera" by The Thunderchiefs). The rhythm guitar pretty much gallops throughout, which I guess provides continuity.
The demo features Ty Pierce's Ennio Ultimate Fuzz on the lead in the 2nd half of the song and liberal use of the Adineko oil can delay throughout. Fuzz seems to be used sparingly in most of the spaghetti western soundtracks I've listened to, but the "more is more" approach seemed to work for the 2nd go-around of the verse.

Yes sir, that'll put marinaree on yer spurs!
I like the definition the notes retains with the fuzz, to my ears anyway. Well done!

Thanks for the listen and kind words, fellas!
Gator, I don't recall the knob functions on the Ennio Ultimate Fuzz, but it definitely made it possible to add fuzz aplenty and preserve some of the guitar tone/note definition.

Thanks again, guys!
Jeff, that's a really cool song/video. Looks like it was released recently. What do you know about the band/project? I never would have expected to hear a saxaphone in the mix, but man it sounds perfect.
Tailrocker, I do like Calexico, especially "Blacklight", which is outstanding on so many levels. John Convertino creates so much interest and atmosphere with his drumming and extensive use of brushes.
