Looking for a Mark II Ramones style. Hallmark would be better for price but a Japanese Mosrite might be OK price depending. For the Hallark the Mark II or JR both work. Color doesn't matter. Thanks!

Well that's for sure not on the affordable end of things. I don't really need a signed or official Johnny Ramone model just a version of a Mark II from Mosrite or Hallmark. Thanks! |

Thought it was bit steep myself. Not very surfy, so I won't bother buying it. |

I have no issues with DIY stuff but those kits are not very accurate and I am not sure are very good. |

If you are a risk taker or if you can fix up a guitar that may have some flaws, here's a $228 possibility: —Insanitizers! http://www.insanitizers.com Last edited: Apr 17, 2018 17:40:21 |

Most of the Mosrites lately are overpriced but even priced right I am probably more in the Hallmark territory price wise. |

I would possibly be interested in a C60 or C65 Hallmark though. |

Could someone explain about the Hallmark and how it came to be? |

Thanks Brian. I'm confused though how if Semie designed the known Mosrite, how did Hallmark continue to pattern their "mosrite" guitars? I read about the business turnstile for Semie and Joe/partners. The Hallmark site does not discuss the patent side of the design. Knowing Semie's family continued(s) to make Mosrites, (and so does Bob Shade) the historic lines are blurred as to design ownership. |

It's probably better to start a different thread for this rather than hijack this one. —Site dude - S3 Agent #202 "It starts... when it begins" -- Ralf Kilauea |
