Congrats on the new album! Got mine from Sean at Double Crown, a couple days ago, it has been repeatedly played, and it is awesome! Great playing, terrific compositions, and well-arranged & recorded. The sound & vibe remind me of the European surf bands. The horns are a nice touch. Highly recommended! I wish I could get down there for the show tomorrow. So I was at the record release party, and both bands put on a hell of a show! Plus they all seem like nice fellows all around. Blackball Bandits are now on my list of shows to try to make it to As for the album, I've listened to it a few times now, and it is one of my favorite recent surf releases. My favorite track is Mesquite, but the entire alum is really really good. Even though I bought the CD I went ahead and pre-ordered the LP on Bandcamp. An album this good should be enjoyed on vinyl! Looking forward to more shows and releases from this band! |
