Hi all,
I am new to surf music. I've always liked it and so recently I decided to record some songs. I would really love any feedback you may have.
You are all welcome to download the songs free at the following link:

I wrote and played everything myself and used the Steve Chapman drum samples.

Very nice, perfect sounds for a lazy summers day. Unfortunately it's sub zero here in the UK, and I have flu!
Did you use Logic Pro?

It's pretty cold here in NYC also!
I used Pro Tools to track/mix

Good stuff. I like it all. Your compositions are pleasing to my personal surf aesthetic and I especially like that you incorporated tonewheel organ! I've experimented with it myself and have found it a lovely addition to the surf sound, even though there's little precedent for it.
Keep 'em coming!

Dean, those are very nice; thanks for sharing your music!
Question for you: Did you personally find any need when in ProTools to work on the EQ of the drum tracks to make them a bit more percussive at times and, if so, how?

Kilian, if Dean used the ones I'm thinking of you can find these loops here. Different packages have slightly different collections of tempos, fills, etc. Whole library is like $20.

Welcome to SG101, WA!
Really digging your EP! From latin excursion to sultry noir to space chase caper to a Bambi's inspired lounge to the church of surf.
Very nicely done

Great job on these tracks. I like that they're all short enough to keep you wanting more.
