For all 4 of the Colorado fans here on SG101....

Friday night July 13th - (Friday the 13th!) at The Skylark Lounge www.skylarklounge.com The Beloved Invaders will be performing. special guests The Surge's Eddie Katcher, and the Aquasonics Chris Fesker will be sitting in during a bunch of tunes - 3, yes, 3 guitars. It'll either be very cool, ala the Astronauts, or a total trainwreck - either way, it's gonna be great!

I've been practicing all week!

Chris

here's some clips of the show this weekend - more to follow..... The video is a little dark - but the sound is okay. I sat in on rhythm guitar, so that's why these are all standards. I'll edit the Eddie Katcher/Chris/Boulder Bob songs today and post them too.

I love the rhythm part of that song - Ive watched the Shadows final dvd about a million times. I think I've got it down pretty good - did it seem okay? I really like Bruce Welch and Don Wilson style rhythm playing - fast big rhythmic chords.

I enjoyed the videos a lot, nice job! I also love that style of rhythm guitar playing. The Atlantics were amazing at that too. Patrick from The Madeira totally can nail that style, it is jaw dropping to see.

Here's the rest of the videos - It's the Beloved Invaders, with me, and then Eddie Katcher to my right. We each played 8 bars of the song, then the next guy played 8 bars, etc. Eddie Katcher starts, then me, then Bob. It was fun, and there might be 15-20 seconds of real pizzazz here.

Seriously, though, thanks to Bob and the Invaders for allowing us to play, and thanks to Eddie Katcher for bringing his gear all the way to Denver from Georgia!

Wow Chris.....that WAS fun! Thanks for setting it all up. and thanks again Bolder Bob for having us share your stage.......both myself and my family had a great time! ed

Traditional........speak softly and play through a big blonde amp. Did I mention that I still like big blonde amps?

I have to second Eddie's "Wow!" Thanks for sharing.

The Skylark Lounge is very dark. It's always hell shooting there. From my angle there was a neon window sign behind Chris, so it was really hard to get a shot where I could see him. I haven't looked at what I got yet and I am really dreading it.

By way of a preliminary reaction to the music, though: "Wow, what an evening!" I'm so glad that you folks put this together! I drove home very carefully, though, afterward, because I pretty high on life. Not beer as some people seemed to think.

Here's some photos -

I put the more passable of my pictures up on my MySpace page. The album is Eddie Katcher and Chis Fesker with the Invaders 7-13-2007 at the Skylark.

Incidentally, this went past midnight to July 14, 2007. The Skylark began operating on July 14, 1942, so this was its 65th birthday.

Looks like an awesome band in an awesome club to me Cool
I think if I woulda been there, with a few drinks in me, and Mr Moto began...I'd shoot through the roof. Yup.
