Solder red - yello(from pickup), and black -yello(from volume pot) together.

to me, the rhythm circuit on a jag or a JM would be great as a way to go to dedicated, both pickups on, or "middle position" sound, with standard 1 meg pot tone. Kind of like Dick Dale has that switch to go to his fave tone no matter what the other switch is set to.

has anyone here tried putting higher value pots into the rhythm circuit?

IIRC, Dick's "surf switch" just turns his middle and bridge pickups on at the same time (which can be done with any modern 5 way selector switch and used to be done on 3 ways using a matchstick to wedge the switch between positions). He ripped out the tone circuit entirely since he doesn't need it and not having it gives more output.

This mod allowes you to mix the Bridge and Neck pickup with seperate volume controls if rhythm circuit is switched on.
Mr Crusoe on your circuit diagram what is the 0.02 value in between the vol and tone on the R circuit and what is it for? I imagine its a capacitor or resistor but can't see why its needed. Thanks

This is the Tone capacitor for the Neck Pickup if the switch is on. You can thy different values there.
