I think Richard is 100% right, along with everyone else. Do it. Go with the Texas Heat in a 4 ohm for fast satisfaction. I still stand by my Eminence statement from 8 years ago, and I was reminded just tonight - I play a SF Twin REverb with Eminence speakers at band practice. It’s really good. I’ve had Screaming Eagles, Cannabis Rex, Legends, and they were all good.

I have two swamp thangs in two different amps, along with an 8 inch in a bedroom amp which lovely. Been thinking about trying out a Legend.

I was just looking at the newish Eminence Wheelhouse 15". It's a Neo, so it may be the ticket to lightening up my Vibrosonic (a bit).

I put a pair of Ragin' Cajuns in my 80s Princeton Chorus and they sound really great. I called Eminence and the RCs are what the recommended for surf in a 10" speaker.

I appreciate all the advice you guys have given me. I have decided to go with a custom made 4 ohm Legend 1218. Once I receive it and try it out, I will come back here and let you guys know what I think of it.

The 1218 is a killer speaker with exactly the right sound for $40. From what I can tell it does the Vintage Jensen sound to a ‘T’.

Thanks for the reply, JObeast. Just curious, where did you see a new one for $40? I thought they were going for $79.99 new. I am paying over $100 for mine, but that's probably because it's being custom made.

Piggybacking off of SixString's bump.
Is there a "go to" Eminence 10" speaker for most headroom without losing the "Fender" sparkle? I've read the Copper head or Ragin'Cajun are good, but are there others?

I have a 2x12 cab with Swamp Thangs and a 1x15 tone ring cab with a Commonwealth. I've never had a problem or complaint with either.
