I was intrigued by the Adineko oil-can delay when I saw demos of it a few years ago. I scored one awhile back and recently stumbled on a little melody I thought might sound cool using it. Sure, "tone is in the hands" as they say (well, not my hands), but I think the Adineko really does impart a vibe all its own.

Wow, that's a very nice tune! Excellent application of the device, too. I scored a Sireko tape delay recently for dirt cheap and I'm looking forward to using it for this kind of stuff once I get it working a little better. Thanks for posting this up. Great music.

Thanks, Redfeather, much appreciated! I'm not familiar with the Sireko tape delay but will definitely look them up. I wonder if anyone has tried to model one with a Strymon El Capistan yet? Definitely fewer moving parts. I'm guessing that your Sireko at least doesn't leak oil.

Thanks Jeff and Wes! Really appreciate the listen and kind words.
I can't say enough good things about the Adineko. There is another cool feature/tone it has, which is basically this ethereal "sonic fog" that can be achieved by adjusting the reverb setting. It's supposed to emulate an original electro-mechnanical unit on the verge of self-oscillation. It is surprisingly easy to control and would work well for something a little dark or haunting. It's definitely one of my go-to tones for late night noodling.
