SOLD!
I bought this a little while ago with the intentions of flipping it. Sometimes you just can't help but buy if it falls in your lap. Anyway, I played it for a few weeks, but it has to go, since that was the original plan.

$1150 shipped in the US to my SG101 brethren. Slightly less if you trust me to pay via PayPal friends and family.

As always, I'll make sizable donation to SG101 as well if it sells here.

Here's my blurb from Reverb and Ebay.

Vintage 1965 Fender 6G15 Spring Reverb Unit

The nicest, most original on Reverb or Ebay!

Excellent all original condition - It's almost like a time machine.

All the parts are the parts that came in it in 1965!

Beautiful cosmetic condition - I can find no scuffs or rips or tears anywhere in the Tolex or grill cloth. All the seams are tight. The face plate is super nice. I used a damp rag to get the closet dust off of it, but it would clean up and shine like new if you wanted to.

I opened it up, and I'm probably the first to ever do so. I de-ox'ed the pots, tightened and cleaned the tube sockets, and cleaned the RCA plug connectors, but left the rest original. The new owner may want to replace the 2 prong cord with a 3 prong grounded one, but I'll leave that up to the new owner.

Original RCA 6K6 tube, original GE 12AX7 and 12AT7 tubes.
Original Gibbs reverb pan is dated 17th week of 1965.
Original transformers all date to early 1965

Even the pan lock works really well - sometimes they still rattle, but not this one.

So how does it sound? Great! I've owned a ton of reverb units. originals, reissues, boutique, etc, and this one sounds as good as the good ones, and better than some.

I'd also be open to trades for Jazzmaster or Jaguar plus or minus cash.

This is a super clean unit at a very fair price, Chris! I looked at the pictures on Reverb and it's pretty much a museum piece, if you ask me.

Make me an offer!

I'm also willing to hold it for someone if they want it but can't pay for it right away. You know, holidays and all.
