Oh!
So it maybe would be senseful to use ONE Sys Malakian thread for new videos for those who are interested???
And pleeease not a NEW thread for EVERY video, man!!
Am I the only one who thought this?
...anyway, your new videos are without f´´king clip tuner on the headstock. Good!
— Twang cheers!

Ah, yes Ididn´t saw the point of self congratulatory yet, but yes... at last it is...
To Sys Malakian: Seriuos question: What is the sense of your videos? Do you want to have people saying: "Oh, great playing! More!".
Or do you want to tell/show people how to play this or that song? I think this could be helpful to a few people? BUT then you could show how to play a song part by part, and show it slow and explain what harmonies and this stuff?

Wow.
I probably shouldn't say shit, but what was the point of that y'all?
If you don't like the guy's videos, it's easy to not click on his links. The site is called surfguitar101, what's the problem? While I'll admit, it'd be great to have a tutorial breakdown, you're getting a close up of how to play a great surf song.
Your posts seem whiny and I'm sure you're both better than that.
Ralf, I'm a big fan of yours man, no offense I hope.
Also I don't know Sys' story either, but something tells me that all those links below his video, might fill some blanks.

Hi gatorfiend,
I don´t feel offended at all, no problem!
Sys Malakian ASKED for feedback and he said "Tell me what you think".
I did it.
And I never said I don´t like his videos.
I tried to understand why he is doing the videos and post it here.
And I thought that it could be helpful for beginners on guitar to show a bit more than just playing the songs?
When you can see how to play special parts of a song it´s much easier to learn I guess.
I like Sys Malakian´s playing. Good surf feeling and tone imo! ( I told him before)
If we had more young people like Sys on the whole planet it would be good for the future.
— Twang cheers!

I hear that sir. Hope I didn't come off as snarky, didn't mean to. It's just it's in the video section of sg101.
You're right though, I'd love to see it dissected and maybe explained even.
Hell after spending money on a surf dvd where Miserlou was taught incorrectly, I'll take any close up accurate video of someone playing a great surf track.
I've tried finding video of Messer Chups playing to see how parts are played, and Guitaracula will often turn his back to the audience while he plays, or the cameraman can't take his eyes off Zombirella (can't blame him, there) so these are great for me.
Sys, perhaps you could tab some of these? I know that'd likely be a ton of work, but it'd be invaluable to hacks like me.
I've thought about getting a cam and doing vids like this before, cause I don't know how to tab, and I'd just like to know if my ears/playing are right.

@gatorfiend: If you are in need for tabs, feel free to ask me for the song(s) you´re looking for, maybe I can help.

Wow, that's extremely cool of you. I may take you up on that. I've wanted to shoot small bits of tab to some of you recording folks on here. I feel I pick out some Crazy Aces, Atomic Mosquitos and Urban Surf Kings parts and have been tempted to message a tab of what I 'hear' but don't want to annoy anyone. I always think I'm annoying people.
Again thanks again for the offer, and the music. I'm actually listening to Mundaka Calls right now. I only have it and Professor, for now, but you and the band should feel proud. Great stuff.

@HallmarkSweotWinger
I make those videos to share surf music and help people to learn to play the songs. Tutorial would be better and they are coming soon, for now people can pause or watch the video slower to learn. Thanks for the feedback.
@gatorfiend
I can make some tabs but i need some time. Will do soon as possible

Right on. That'd be great, I can't imagine how time consuming tabbing surf songs can be.
