RIP his movies were very influential on me ,both the surf movies and On Any Sunday ...I wanted to move to california and ride bikes and experience the surf scene ...check ,check and check . thanks Bruce Brown

The Endless Summer is one of my alltime favorite films. I can watch it anytime and be transfixed. Both my kids like it too. It's just timeless.
Growing up at the Jersey Shore in the 60's wasn't quite Southern California
but we did have a "surf culture" both in the water and musically and that film really resonated with us. Thank you Bruce Brown. May you catch the perfect wave everyday in your eternity.

Bruce Brown came to my Junior High School in Pasadena
and brought his early 16mm films and his record player for
an Assembly in our auditorium, every year. '60-'61-'62
He would stand on stage at the podium and narrate his films,
this was performing arts!

I was twelve, he was twenty-two.
I am still "hooked on surf"

Bless his heart and his Family...

Least we not forget "On Any Sunday."

Being an avid dirt bike rider and a dabbler in Surf Guitar, both movies have been sources of great inspiration to me for as long as I can remember, and have VHS and DVD copies of each.

I bought my first real dirt bike, a Swedish built Husqvarna after seeing that movie for the first time. Wish I still had it.

Bruce Brown, an American original.

Several years back, in the pits at the Atlanta Super Cross, someone had a perfectly restored 1973 Husky 125WR sitting in the back of a pickup truck over where the vintage MX bikes were on display.

Most beautiful dirt bike ever made......

I kept looking to see who's it might be and maybe, just maybe.........score it, but I never could figure out who the owner was. Haven't seen it in the last several Super Crosses. Best believe I'll keep on the hunt.

Atlant is coming, first weekend in March.
