At the urging of Jeff(bigtikidude) and by way of Tikicentral, I am posting this in the forum. Three surf bands, DJs spinning vinyl exotica, fruity drinks, tiki art, the works. Here is the the new poster I made just for the event:
We sure hope to see all you AZ tikiphiles and surf music nuts out that night!

Thanks. I did it all myself. My first foray into "real" tiki-theme art. We are going to give away a mounted large-format digital print of the background artwork as a door prize.
It is here, if you would like to see it in all its glory: (warning! large image size) LINK
Hope some of you all can come out to play!

Very nice work.
Is the original acrylic on canvas?
What is the painting style used on the sky background? Did you do that with a trowel?

The Tiki party went really well. Anyone from around here make it? Fender put a blurb on their website and SG101 members Cherndog and your's truly were quoted. Pretty slick, huh? Surf music featured on the front page of Fender.com...never thought I would see the day.
